I have had so many amazing memories as a former student of Fearless Focus. Mall fashion shows, princess tea parties, freeze modeling and wedding expo shows. I absolutely loved going to class. I felt a sense of belonging, able to relax and be myself. I started as a shy 14 year old with other individuals who wished to gain confidence and life experience.
Looking back, I see how valuable those lessons were. Confidence builders in each fashion event helped increase my self esteem every time. I remember Maria told me at the end of the semester that I have a quiet confidence. I have never resonated with a term to describe myself as much as that. Maria has a special way to empower individuals, and to celebrate their uniqueness. I embraced my personal growth while still staying true to myself. That has always stuck with me, and I am proud of who I am.
Looking back, there was no lesson that influenced me more than her iconic skin care class where we learned all about good hygiene and basic facials! Maria, you even taught me how to apply makeup, there was no TikTok back then! Your lessons help expose young people to ideas and creative careers that we normally would not get to experience in school. Which is why Fearless Focus is so personal to me because I’ve been a proud esthetician for the past 12 years and what you taught me at Fearless Focus I emulate with my own clients. Your skincare lesson is the direct reason as to how I found my career path.
Being the best version of yourself is my idea of confidence. Showing up for yourself and others. Showing respect and empathy. Kindness matters. These are all core values I developed as a student at Fearless Focus. Maria, what you have done for our community is invaluable. Your warmth, kindness, and relatability is so important for young people to look up to, you are unapologetically you! We all need your sparkle. Cheers to 25 years. I am so proud to be a part of this family.
