Step Into Your Power Class Topics
Each week’s curriculum will be tailored specifically for each age group.
Week #1: September 26th
You’ve Got a Friend In Me – Bring A Friend Week! This week we highlight how to be a good friend and what that entails such as being a good listener, dependable, honest, non-judgmental, and having safe boundaries when it comes to friendships. We are also opening our studio up to a friend of their choice. Our students enjoy the open forum we create to discuss issues they may face and how to navigate certain situations.
Week #2: October 3rd
Confidently Social – We will help ease the awkwardness of meeting new people by engaging our students with some fun social exercises, and social icebreakers. We will discuss 5 powerful speaking tips on navigating new conversations when in a room of diverse people.
Week #3: October 10th
Impeccable You – The boys will learn about the confidence that comes with looking and feeling your best! In this grooming class, boys will learn essential self-care skills that will last a lifetime, from proper hair care and skincare to understanding the importance of a healthy diet and exercise. Plus, we’ll explore the benefits of journaling for self-expression and stress management.
Week #4: October 17th
Step Into Your Power – This is a powerful class on the importance of a strong presence and how to represent your higher self! Standing tall, proud, and walking confidently. (we use our runway as a tool of empowerment for this class) Owning who you are regardless of society’s standards. It’s all about self-love and self-expression.
Week #5: October 24th
Follow My Lead – Leadership skills are essential building blocks for young minds. We will discuss how leadership fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. Developing these abilities early on empowers children to become confident, responsible, and influential members of society. By learning to collaborate, inspire, and make decisions, young people gain the tools to overcome challenges, achieve their goals, and create positive change in their communities.
Week #6: October 30th (Please note, classes will be held on Wednesday this week.)
Amazing, Powerful, ME! – This week’s discussion is about how we are more than a body and will discuss the importance of a sense of self. We will discuss how to embrace and love yourself through the different stages your body goes through during your lifetime. It all comes down to self-knowledge and a sense of self.
Week #7: November 7th
Stronger Together – A growing body of research has shown that exercise of all types, like yoga, cardio, and strength training can improve focus, memory, self-esteem, academic performance, and classroom behavior. Our goal is to show students practical techniques they can use independently to practice physical fitness and good health.
Week #8: November 14th
The Art of Expression – This class explores the powerful connection between art and self-love, providing a safe space to express emotions and thoughts.
Week #9: November 21st
Brave New Me – Through fun and interactive activities, students will learn valuable tools to help them understand, manage, and conquer their fears. We will discuss resilience, confidence, and a positive mindset.
NO CLASSES THE WEEK OF NOVEMBER 25th – THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY
Week #10: December 5th
Put-together and Proud Photo Shoot – This week we encourage our students to apply what they have learned in previous classes as they step outside their comfort zone and get comfortable in front of the camera!
Week #11: December 12th
Ready, Set, Mindset! – This week we will discuss the power of positive affirmations and positive mindset strategies. Students will create “I am” statements and be given worksheets to help them comprehend the importance of self-acceptance and self-love.
Week #12: December 19th – Final week of Fall Program Classes
Holiday Social Soiree and Good Manners Reminders – We will celebrate the joy of the holiday season with important reminders about etiquette and a festive holiday soiree! More info to follow.
