Fall Program 2023: The Confidence Connection Classes Begin September 25th through December 18th.

Please scroll down to see all 12 weeks of

The Confidence Connection class topics.

Connecting to Yourself Means Loving Yourself.  As you gain self-connection, you will also gain self-love. It will become easier to practice self-compassion. You will find it easier to accept yourself exactly as you are at this moment. You will discover that in the quiet and stillness of being alone, you are perfect.

Our Fall Program inspires children and teens to discover the beauty and strength of their own self-confidence. We help them with their journey to self-love and self- acceptance so they may live confidently and fearlessly. Participants may choose to come weekly on Monday or Tuesday, to meet new friends in a space that is safe, supportive and celebrates exactly who they were made to be!

Fearless Focus has an open enrollment policy so that your child may enroll with us when their schedule allows. Just give us a call at 781-826-0241 or email info@fearlessfocusprogram.com.

The Confidence Connection curriculum is inspired by the findings and call to action of U.S. Surgeon General, Vivek Murthy.

In May of this year, the U.S. Surgeon General issued an 85-page advisory study in which he noted, “Given the significant health consequences of loneliness and isolation, we must prioritize building social connections the same way we have prioritized other critical public health issues such as tobacco, obesity, and substance use disorders.”

Ultimately, what the surgeon general was saying is our youth is dangerously disconnected from the relationships that keep us safe and healthy. That’s why, Fearless Focus has decided to build our Fall Program on the foundation of the Confidence Connection. The Confidence Connection will focus on nurturing the four relationships that make us socially well-rounded: one’s relationship with themselves, with friends, with family, and with their community.

The warning issued by the Surgeon General isn’t one that needs to be met with fear. This fall at Fearless Focus we’re meeting the moment with action.

The Confidence Connection Fall Program 2023

Week #1 – Week of September 25th

Self-Connection and Self-Care – Bring A Friend Week!

In our first week of classes, we welcome your child to bring a friend that lifts them up, supports, and respects them.  If their friend is not available to attend, we welcome them to bring a sibling or family member.  In this class, we will cover the importance of prioritizing yourself.  Your child will have the opportunity to learn more about skincare and taking care of their body and mind.  They will be treated to a facial sauna, clay mask, aromatherapy toners in different scents, lavender facial moisturizer, and a relaxing 10-minute guided meditation.

Attire:  Casual and Comfortable.

Week #2 – Week of October 2nd

Compassion Connection – Empathy Leads to Excellence

In this class, our students will learn the importance of the following:

  • How to be compassionate and make an effort to talk to and connect to others, regardless of their diverse-abilities.
  • Honoring their self-worth by surrounding themselves with friends that lift them up, not bring them down.
  • Avoid limiting themselves to one friend group.
  • We will practice the importance of good posture, proper introductions, handshakes, eye contact, and how to start and navigate conversations.

Attire:  Casual or dressed up – whatever your child prefers!

Week #3- Week of October 9th

Leadership in Action

IMPORTANT:  Classes will take place on October 9th – Columbus Day

If your child is not able to attend on October 9th, they are welcome to join us on Tuesday, October 10th at their regular time – Young Miss 4:30 pm, Preteen 5:30 pm, Teen 6:30 pm

Leadership skills allow children to have control over their lives and to make things happen.  Leadership instills confidence and helps children solve problems creatively, work in a team, and work collaboratively with others.

  • We will continue good posture practice and strong physical presence,
  • Speaking up for ourselves,
  • Having the self-confidence to speak our mind, raise our hands, and learn the self-satisfaction of being the example and not the rule.

Attire:  Casual or dressed up – whatever your child prefers!

Week #4 – Week of October 16th

  • Each student will be given role-playing scripts that depict typical school or friendship issues.   They can choose to work one-on-one with another student or in a group.

Week #5 – Week of October 23rd

Let’s Makeup! – Fun Halloween Makeup Ideas and Practice

This class is all about the fun and fantasy of makeup.  But not wearing it because they feel like they have to in order to “look good” but rather to feel good!   Wearing makeup is a choice and each person is entitled to make it without any pressure.  Whether they decide to wear makeup or not, the important thing to remember is that they should never judge another person’s decision.

Attire:  Casual, dressed up, or dressed in their Halloween costume – whatever your child prefers!

Week #6 – Week of October 30th

Make Your Mark!

A strong bond with their community fosters a sense of belonging for young people. When kids and teenagers feel connected to the people, places, and values around them, they develop a sense of identity and purpose.  Being actively involved in their community through volunteering or work can expose young people to diverse perspectives, cultures, and ideas. That kind of exposure can create opportunities for personal growth and leadership.

Our “Make Your Mark” Art Project will consist of your child’s enlarged fingerprint surrounded by their own artwork, words, and creativity of how they will make their mark on their community and the world! We will provide the art supplies, however, PLEASE ENCOURAGE YOUR CHILD TO BRING SOME OF THEIR OWN ART SUPPLIES FOR THIS PROJECT.

Attire:  Casual, dressed up, whatever your child prefers!

Week #7 – Week of November 6th

Confidence Is Contagious – Parents, Grandparents, Guardians, or Mentors Invited!

Who is the Fearless Focus Fall Program for?

Fearless Focus is for every child. At Fearless Focus, we believe everyone is beautiful and deserves to live life confidently. Some of us, embrace confidence with gusto and others find it to be more of a struggle to remain consistently confident. Regardless of which category you belong to, we have a space for you at Fearless Focus!

Fearless Focus was featured in an article in The Boston Globe! The story details how Fearless Focus and our Powerhouse Program help children build self-confidence, resilience and inner strength.

What is the Fall Program all about?

In our Fall Program, we give children the platform (or runway) to step out of their comfort zone and do something that makes them feel proud of themselves. The program is comprised of children from all over the South Shore, giving everyone the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends. Our Fall Program runs every week, excluding the week of Thanksgiving.

What do other parents have to say about the program?

Thank you Maria and your team!  You are an amazing group of leaders that help build young girls confidence and belief/strength in self.  In a world where young girls are women are constantly being torn down or compared to one another, you help build knowledge of self from within, and show them to honor individuality at such a young age.  You are putting power and strength into the hands of young ladies that will turn into great builders and leaders!

– Kristen Cina, Pembroke, MA

Fearless Focus has helped my daughter Julia focus on what makes her personally look and feel good. The program helped her effortlessly realize who she is. Thank you for the fabulous message you send at Fearless Focus!

It’s been many years, but my girls still derive so many benefits from the courses they took at Fearless Focus! Aimee is now a junior at Lasalle College, majoring in Public Relations and Communications. Sabrina is a junior at Blue Hills Regional. Her focus is in the visual arts: animation, cartooning and storyboarding. Many of their talents were strongly influenced by all they learned with you. From poise to confidence, from body posturing to social graces, they owe much to Fearless Focus. Thank you for all you did to enrich their lives!

– Sandra Goldstein, Canton

I want to express my deepest gratitude to you. I cannot thank you enough for all you have done to encourage and support my daughter Grace..

In the Fearless Focus classes, Grace learned skills were critically important in helping her achieve her personal goals. In May of 2015 Grace scored the strongest marks possible in her interview for the National Honor Society and was inducted April 8, 2016.

My daughter is happy and confident again, as a mom that is my greatest comfort. Thanks again for your help and support.
