Happy New Year to all of my students, staff and their families! I hope you were able to rest, refresh and revel in the company of loved ones.
For me, 2018 offered many gifts as well as challenges and life changes that tested my strength. But through it all, one word remained constant in my mind: Gratitude. I choose to live my life with a grateful, loving and open heart. I have learned that when you have an open heart, life is so much sweeter.
Family
On February 16th, my son Gregory married sweet, beautiful Alexis. We love them both so much and are very happy for them and the life they are making for themselves in Twentynine Palms, CA, both serving in the United States military. Gregory as a Marine and Alexis in the Army National Guard.
My daughters Alexandra and Gabrielle both accomplished big career moves and are thriving working and living in the Boston area. Of course, the fact that they are kind, loving and empathetic human beings is what makes this momma so very proud.
Fashion Focus
I am beyond grateful to have a 19 plus year career doing what I love. I have said this many times before and I mean it: Fashion Focus is my heart. The very foundation of the Fashion Focus curriculum was built directly from strategies I implemented when I was struggling with low self-esteem and lack of self-confidence. As the saying goes, out of pain comes purpose. Fashion Focus is my purpose. I am humbled by the beautiful ripple effect that our kindness and compassion has made in this community.
I feel pure joy when I see the positive changes that occur when our students experience our classes and the “Fashion Focus Experience”. My staff and I put our hearts and souls into everything we do and with every interaction we have with our girls and boys. I have no intention of stopping anytime soon, so here’s to many more years of offering a safe, supportive, nurturing environment for all ❤

Community Outreach

My purpose all these years has remained constant: To give back. To share my joy with others. To believe that big or small acts of kindness DO make a difference not only in the lives of others, but in mine, too. I am a better person for helping others and I will always, always, always be here for anyone who may need me.
Powerhouse Program is a labor of love and in establishing it, we are able to help boys and girls in need of a boost of self-confidence.
The Girl Scouts of Eastern MA and I have a wonderful reciprocal relationship and believe in the same goal: developing our girls to become strong, happy, confident, and caring community servants.
The Cardinal Cushing Center in Hanover and it’s students and staff will forever have my heart. My students and staff have learned so much from these amazing individuals and look forward to many more years of friendship with them!
The Future
I will continue steadfastly on my way. My mission has been crystal clear for all of these years and will remain so for many years to come. We will update our curriculum with the ever-changing times, but our goal will always be to offer a welcoming, open-minded and safe place for children to learn how to connect to their inner-strength and discover the freedom of self-confidence.
On April 13th, 2018 I turned 54. I celebrated with a heart full of happiness, contentment, and peace. I look forward to a future surrounded by family, the joys of owning a business I love, dedicated staff, a wonderful community and of course all of my beautiful pups!
